Adequate access to food impacts academic success at all ages -- and Oakton Community College is addressing this issue through the Oakton Caring Closet, which provides immediate support to students.  Representatives of Oakton -- Katherine Sawyer, Krissie Harris and Tania Boisson -- visited the club on Sept. 5 to provide an update of Oakton's efforts to address food security on campus.

The Rotary Club of Evanston will be focusing on the issue of food security in coming years and we thank Katherine, Krissie and Tania for enlightening us with this very important program.

You can support Oakton's efforts by donating food and personal items outlined at www.oakton.edu/caringcloset.
