Apply for A Grant from the Rotary Club of Evanston Charitable Fund

Each year, the Rotary Club of Evanston distributes grants to support local and international charitable projects. The grants are dispersed through the Rotary Club of Evanston Charitable Fund, a 501c3 organization.

Grant applications are generally made available early in the calendar year and are usually focused on a particular need identified by the Fund.  For example, grants in recent years have been distributed for anti-violence programs as a part of the Rotary Club of Evanston's "Building a More Peaceful Evanston" initiative

Grant funding decisions are generally made each spring by the club's Charitable Foundation Board. If you are interested in applying for a grant, send an email requesting more information to rcevanston@gmail.com, or contact our current club president, listed at the club's homepage

The Rotary Club of Evanston has announced a 2016 community grant in the amount of $3,000 to the YWCA Evanston/North Shore and Youth & Opportunity United (YOU) as a part of its on-going effort to reduce violence in Evanston.

The YWCA and YOU jointly run a program called “The Allied Against Violence (AAV) Project,” which is aimed at ending sexual and domestic violence against youth.  The Rotary Club of Evanston is continuing its commitment to fund this important program which it also funded through its 2015 Community Grant program.  AAV engages, educates, and empowers low-income, minority male students at Evanston Township High School as allies in the movement to end sexual and domestic violence among youth.  The grant will enable YWCA and YOU to engage 25 young men in extensive training on building healthy relationships and preventing violence against women.

The Rotary Club of Evanston Charitable Fund has distributed close to $30,000 in community grants over the last several years via the “Building a More Peaceful Evanston” program.

The Rotary Club of Evanston gratefully acknowledges our Business Partners, First Bank & Trust, Northwestern University, NorthShore University Health System and Romano Brothers & Co. for their generous and on-going support of the 2016 “Building a More Peaceful Evanston” Community Grant Program.
