Jeff Miller stopped by the club to tell his incredible story of survival from a plane crash in 1989. 30 years ago Jeff was on United flight 232 from Denver to Chicago when a rear engine blew and they were diverted to Sioux City Iowa for a crash landing. The hydraulics for the plane were completely inoperable and the chance for any type of landing was slim. The Pilot did an incredible job getting with in second of landing he aircraft when the wing clipped the runway and the plane somersaulted down the runway. The plan was a large DC-10 with around 300 people on board with more than half not making it. Only 13 walked away with no injuries and Jeff Miller was one of them. Jeff truly feels blessed and has an incredible out look on life. pictured below Mike Gate (Rotarian ), Jeff Miller, Bill Beaupre(Rotarian).
