A few weeks ago The Rotary Club of Elk Grove Challenged the Grove Interact Club to try and get 200 boxes of Mac and Cheese and the Club would match it. What happened next was absolutely incredible. The Interact instructor Angela Addante took the challenge and ran with it. With some creative marketing and a cool video the campaign was launched. The out pouring of support from the Students, Staff, teachers and the community was unprecedented. Angela also organized that the winning class would have the opportunity to pie their teachers in the face. It was not long and the count was already at 450. First trip to Sams. Next call was 900 and my Second trip to Sams. Last call was at 1910. Wow, another Run to Sams. The school collected 1910 and The Rotary Club of Elk Grove matched with a total count of 3,836. The Grove Interact is like a Junior Rotary Club that The Rotary Club of Elk Grove Village sponsors to give the students the opportunity for Community involvement and the Rotary Moto of Service above Self.
