Update from Decker Scholarship Recepient

Hello Jack and the rest of Rotary!

I am enjoying my time here at Northwestern, though it is very challenging. My phone call went well and she told me to apply for an internship with the Archimedes Project, so I will definitely update you with any further information/developments.

I am also involved with some volunteer projects here and am now on the Special Events Committee for Northwestern Community Development Corps. In October, I volunteered as a chaperone for one of their events called Project Pumpkin, which held a Halloween/trick-or-treating event for kids (and their parents) who live in dangerous areas around Evanston and Chicago. I loved being back doing hands-on volunteering, but there were so many flaws with the event organization that I had to get on the board for future events. After winter break, we'll be planning a Senior Prom for the local elderly, and I'm excited since I have a lot of experience with my friends from Three Oaks Assisted Living.
