Thanks very much to Sarah Howdeschell, Erica Anderson and Emily Mohr for updating us on the activities of the Interact Club. The Interact students have been busy lately, having completed the collection of backpacks & school supplies for underprivileged children, 300 pairs of socks for the homeless, food for the Food Pantry, running a 5K to fund raiser against Lime Disease, volunteering for the Main Street Fest and helping to move books for the Fox River Grove Library.
Yesterday they raised money for cancer by doing pink hair strips. They are selling "Pink Out" T-shirts for tomorrow's football game and all Rotarians present at this morning's meeting purchased one. They are also involved in a "B3" project training which will allow them to make presentations at the grade schools about "Being Safe, Being Kind and Being Smart" on the internet. It is always a pleasure to hear from our Interact students and the wonderful things they are doing.
