Dorothy Drummond, author of "Holy Land, Whose Land?  Modern Dilemma, Ancient Roots," will be speaking at the weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Cary-Grove on Thursday, May 9th.  The Rotary club meets at 7:30am at the Cary Park District, located at 255 Briargate Road in Cary.

Drummond has spent most of her life as a freelance writer for geographical publications.  She began her professional career as assistant to the editor of the Geographical Review, published by the American Geographical Society in New York City.  She has authored or co-authored four world cultures textbooks, has written articles for professional journals and scores of encyclopedia articles, and has been an advisor in the making of educational films.

Dorothy is a Rotarian from Terre Haute, Indiana and is touring the Chicago area promoting her book.  She will be speaking on the subject of "The Arab Spring and the Peace Process."  Dorothy states "both the Israelis and the Palestinians have deep-seated reasons for the positions they take, and we Americans, heavily involved in the peace process, need to understand those reasons."
