Rotary Club of Cary-Grove President, Jack Giel, presented a check to Amy Knop at the club's weekly meeting this morning.  Officer Knop is the Vice-President of The McHenry County Sheriff's "Shop with a Cop" program and was the guess speaker at this morning's meeting.

Officer Knop gave an overview of the program and stated that it was in its 25th year of existence.  The program is dedicated to providing Christmas to children throughout McHenry County who might not otherwise be able to enjoy the Holiday.  The program involves local law enforcement taking these children on a shopping spree where they are each provided as much as $150 to spend on gifts.  Each also receives a winter hat, coat, gloves and boots.  The check that was presented this morning represents individual contributions from club members as well as a matching amount given from the club's charitable fund.
