Today's program was presented by Rotarian Sandy Morgenstein.  He spoke on the topic of "Rotary's Future Vision", highlighting some of the changes that will take place beginning July of 2013 with the Matching Grant Program.

The new Grants Program will have six areas of of focus; Peace & conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention & treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy and Economic & community development.  For Rotary Clubs to qualify for a grant, the project being considered must fall into one of these categories and must have a minimum investment of $30,000.  In addition, the long-range plan for the project must be sustainable.

Rotary International is hopeful that Future Vision will streamline the grants application process and will have a greater impact in the areas of focus due to larger resources being committed.  To learn more about the matching grants program, visit Rotary International.
