Bea Pederson, from McHenry County College, was the guest speaker at today's meeting of the Rotary Club of Cary-Grove.  Bea's discussion centered on the scholarship program offered by the MCC Foundation.  The Friends of McHenry County College Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that works in partnership with McHenry County College.  Its primary goal is to raise funds that can be used in providing financial support to students who are either currently enrolled at the college or those that are planning to attend in the future.

There's good reason for a student to consider attending the first two years of their college life at MCC.  The acceptance rate for students graduating and moving to a four-year college is the highest in the nation.  In addition, in the past five years, the college has expanded their curriculum to include programs in Robotics, Culinary and Nursing.
