Today's guest speaker was Tina Lopez from 4-C (Community Coordinated Child Care).  Tina gave an overview of the programs offered at 4-C and covered the history of its development in McHenry County.
4-C is a private not-for-profit social service agency that has been helping working parents with child care financial assistance for over 40 years in Northern Illinois.  It was started in DeKalb in 1971 to assist mothers who were returning to work.  As the population began to grow in McHenry County between 2000 and 2009, a program was started here.

The goal at 4-C is to assure that all children will be cared for in safe, nurturing, and healthy environments. To achieve this, they support parents and those providing child care by offering information, education, resources, and services.  To learn more about the services offered by 4-C, visit their website at http://www.four-c.org.
