Newest Little Lending Library in another Carol Stream Elementary school
On a chilly November afternoon, Amy Kendryna, principal at Spring Trail Elementary school in Carol Stream, helped a few of our Rotarians from our Carol Stream club cut the ribbon on the newest of our Little Lending Libraries here in the village.  The Libraries are made from wood by a gracious friend of the club.  The Carol Stream Park district digs a hole and places a post in a designated spot as per the Clubs' direction.  Our High School Students at Glenbard North HS are responsible for stocking the donated books in the little libraries that are free for anyone to take and enjoy. They students circulate regularly around the Village to this and the other 5 libraries to make sure that they are stocked properly.  Any repairs or paint touch ups are also noted and the libraries are removed and serviced as needed.  Each elementary school or community location has an individual, colorful paint job and is unique in the theme--Dr. Seuss, Peanuts.
