Carol Stream Independence Day Parade

A Community Tradition of Patriotism, Pride, and Togetherness

Every Fourth of July, the Village of Carol Stream proudly celebrates our nation's independence with one of the community's most anticipated annual traditions—the Carol Stream Independence Day Parade. Since 1987, the parade has brought together residents, local businesses, civic organizations, veterans, schools, marching bands, scouts, and community groups for a morning filled with patriotic pride, hometown spirit, and family fun. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the parade travels through Carol Stream before concluding at the Ross Ferraro Town Center, where the celebration continues throughout the day.

The parade has become much more than a Fourth of July celebration. It is a showcase of everything that makes Carol Stream a vibrant and welcoming community. Colorful floats, classic cars, marching units, first responders, local organizations, and hundreds of volunteers come together to create an event that is enjoyed by thousands of spectators each year. Families line the streets early to wave American flags, greet neighbors, and celebrate the freedoms that unite us as a nation.

Following the parade, the celebration continues at the Ross Ferraro Town Center, where residents enjoy an evening of live entertainment, food vendors, family activities, and one of the area's premier fireworks displays. The Independence Day Concert begins in the evening, followed by fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m., providing a spectacular ending to a full day of community celebration.

The Rotary Club of Carol Stream

The Rotary Club of Carol Stream is proud to participate in this cherished community tradition. Whether serving as a parade sponsor, marching alongside fellow community organizations, or entertaining the crowd with the ever-popular Precision Grocery Cart Drill Team, Rotary members enjoy celebrating Independence Day while sharing the organization's commitment to Service Above Self. The parade provides a wonderful opportunity to introduce residents to Rotary's mission and highlight many of the local charities and nonprofit organizations supported throughout the year.

Every decorated grocery cart represents more than just a fun parade entry—it symbolizes the organizations, neighbors, and causes that Rotary proudly supports. Through scholarships, youth programs, food pantries, community partnerships, charitable fundraising events, and countless volunteer hours, the Rotary Club continues to invest in making Carol Stream an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

As thousands gather each Independence Day, the parade serves as a reminder that a strong community is built by people who volunteer, serve, and care for one another. The Rotary Club of Carol Stream is honored to be part of that tradition and looks forward to celebrating with the community for many years to come.

Together, we strengthen our community—one act of service at a time.
