Rotary Club of Carol Stream and a full house of golfers made our annual Chili Open Golf outing a real success!
This year our annual Chili Open golf fundraiser was renamed the Joe Kramer Chili Open Golf event in honor of one of our avid golfer members who passed away last year at this time.  The day was sunny, but cold and blustery, and a very well attended event of happy golfers.  Our suburban Chicago area has had lots of rain this spring, but that did not deter the golfers from enjoying the Bartlett Hills golf course and a few soggy areas!  We had one of our best fundraising years that allowed the club to donate funds to three great
charities:  Alzheimer's Association, Northern Illinois Food bank, and Tree foundation.  Representatives from the charities joined us at the lunch stop to talk with golfers about their respective organizations.  The golfers had plenty of hot dogs, brats, and CHILI to refuel during their day.  In addition to golf, the club hosted a silent auction at dinner with raffle baskets and items collected from local merchants in the area and club member businesses. A great way to usher in the new season!
