Food Drive April 2026
Hello Carol Stream Community Food Drive Supporters!
Yesterday was an AMAZING day! I cannot thank you all enough for your support in making the Carol Stream Rotary Community Food Drive a record-breaking event.
Our donations came from EVERYWHERE in the Carol Stream Community:
- Individual donors who pulled up with full vehicles of donations
- Individual households that filled up blue bags
- Individual people who picked up an extra bag of groceries when shopping
- Collections at the Village Hall, Library, Ingram Micro, and Covenant Living
- Students at Carol Stream District 93 and Glenbard North High School
- Members at Heritage Presbyterian Church and Kaival Gyan Mandir Temple
Most importantly, we all did our part and worked together to help our neighbors. Every small effort, everyone doing their part, added up to a whole lot.
We had over 100 Volunteers who worked tirelessly before and on the day of our Food Drive. Volunteers from Glenbard North High School Life Skills Program and Glenbard Transition Program stapled fliers to 6,000 reusable grocery bags.
Street Captains delivered these bags to homes, picked up donations, and unloaded donations. A mighty team of volunteers gathered more donations at Jewel and Caputos. Countless volunteers unloaded donations as they arrived. So many of you worked to fill the vehicles of 6 area food pantries.
I am not sure how much food we collected yesterday, but I promise to update you on any results I receive. For now, take a look at the video of some of the donations we collected. Be proud of your work and how you care for each other. Carol Stream is truly an amazing community!
With Sincere Gratitude,
Deb Cartwright
