Home Page News
The Rotary Club of Carol Stream had a very busy summer. Below are the highlights:
  • On July 7 the presidency was passed from David Elliott to Andre Adams. 42 people enjoyed a delicious dinner at North Avenue Pub & Grill as we celebrated the old year and took a look forward to the new one.
  • Four new members joined the Club. Jeff Berger, Justin Reining and Logan Quest joined in July and Yolanda Armalis in August.
  • The Club sold beer, wine, and hard seltzers at Geek Fest plus six Thursday night town concerts. $6,130 dollars were raised which will be donated back to community organizations. Another $302 was raised through tips for the Polio Plus campaign to eradicate Polio world wide.
  • Our magnificent Precision Grocery Cart Drill team performed in the Carol Stream Fourth of July Parade.
  • Working with the West Chicago Rotary Club, 100 Women Who Care - NFP, Rotary District 6440, and community supporters, $7,000 was raised for Neighborhood Food Pantries.
  • We raised over $1420 for My Child's Life Matters by selling beer at the Ride For John
  • The Club had a booth at the VetBros Charity Dog Show and raised $250 for VetBros.
  • We participated in National Night Out on August 6, distributing water, juice, soda and veggie straws to attendees.
We are a very active Club, invested in helping our Community. Stay tuned to see what the fall will bring.

What is the Rotary Community Food Drive?

This is an opportunity for our community to help and support each other.  Through the collection of donations, we will restock the food pantries that support Carol Stream residents.  We have folks in our community who are faced with food insecurity.  If we all do a little and work together, it will go a long way in helping those in our community who need our support.

How does it work?

Starting on March 1, 2024, we will start collecting donations at various locations throughout Carol Stream including businesses, schools, community buildings, and individual residences.  On April 13, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm all the donations will be brought to one centralized location which is Glenbard North High School.  The donations will be divided among 6 area food pantries that serve Carol Stream residents.
