Celebrating 50 Years of Service to Buffalo Grove and Beyond

 

Over the years, our club has led and supported many meaningful projects. We host an Annual Duck Race, a fun event that raises funds to support our charitable work. We also run Bingo Night at Buffalo Grove Days, bringing residents together for an evening of friendly competition. Every Thanksgiving, our members ensure that local families in need receive food and holiday meals, helping make the holiday season a bit brighter.

In partnership with the Rick Kahen Commission for Residents with Disabilities, we co-host the annual Bowling with Buddies event, which fosters a sense of inclusion and fun for participants. Our commitment to a healthier environment is reflected in our green and environmental efforts around Buffalo Grove. Additionally, we provide support to local organizations through our community grants program, which includes a partnership with the Village of Buffalo Grove to help fund important community initiatives.

Our reach extends beyond local borders as well. We are proud to support Ak Tenamit in Guatemala, an organization that focuses on education and sustainable development for indigenous communities.

As part of our long-standing dedication to Rotary’s global mission, our club has contributed over $308,000 to The Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation is a global organization that transforms donations into projects that promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, support education, and grow local economies. Through this support, we’ve played a role in advancing Rotary's work on a larger scale, helping to create positive change around the world.

As we celebrate 50 years of service, we look back with pride at the positive impact we’ve had, and we’re grateful for the support we’ve received from the community. We are excited for what lies ahead and look forward to continuing our work to improve lives in Buffalo Grove and beyond.
