Last week our speakers were two grant recipients. Chrissy Trilling-Raices, Chief Development Officer of OMNI Youth Services, spoke about the organization that is a comprehensive behavioral health organization serving the needs of children, adolescents and adults throughout Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs. They don’t only focus on resolving existing problems, but also pursue the development of skills for life. Special Gifts Theatre was represented by Elise Larsen, its Executive Director, and Patrick and Macey, participants. The mission of Special Gifts Theatre is to foster self-confidence, social, speech and language skills in individuals with disabilities, using educational and therapeutic techniques with the stage as the platform, integrating creativity and fun. |
