Last Week's Meeting

Last week we heard from Christian Pepera, a Rotary International Foundation Cadre Specialist who told us about the Rotary Foundation Cadre of Technical Advisers, which is a group

of volunteer Rotarians who provide technical expertise and advice to Rotarians planning and carrying out Rotary grant projects around the world. Cadre members review, monitor, and evaluate projects and ensure grant funds are being used properly.

Thanks to all who volunteered at the April 19th Bowlero Event

Our club partnered with the Village of Buffalo Grove's Commission for Residents with Disabilities and hosted Bowling for Buddies on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Bowlero, 350 McHenry Road,

from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. It was a great event and thank you to all Rotarians who volunteered. A professional photographer was on hand, but here is one that I took of my and Bill's awesome bowlers David and Ryan.

Foundation Chair Encouraging New Members to Contribute

Our Foundation Chair, Tom, is encouraging members who have not as yet made any monetary contribution to our Rotary Foundation. If they contribute $100, he will generously match it. Your donation makes a difference to those who need our help most. More than 90 percent of our donations go directly to supporting our service projects around the world. With your help, we can make lives better in our community and around the world.
