Thanks to all of our members and their families for the many hours selling duck tickets, building the duck pool, manning the booth, walking in the parade and helping out at Bingo. It was a great effort by so many.
Last week our speaker was Robert Beezat, the author of the book, "Character Based Management - A Key to More Productive & Effective Organizations." Robert stresses that management is more of an art than a science. He gave us 10 tips for managers: 1. Shut up and listen; 2. Involve your employees; 3.Don't be afraid to be challenged by employees. 4. Help people grow; 5.Help people solve problems; 6.Genuinely respect and care for employees; 7.Treat everyone equitably and fairly; 8. Learn as broadly as possible; 9.
