We Mourn the Passing of Member Rick Drazner
We will all miss Rick and his dedication to Service Above Self, and of course his humor at our meetings and events.
Order Your Club Apparel Now!!
The online store has been set up for our club to order apparel that will be personalized for our club.  Here is the link:
They will take your order (that you pay for on the site) until April 17th.  We need that deadline in order to get the apparel in time for our golf outing.  The cost shown for the item includes the personalization and taxes.  I will pick up the items and give them out at our meeting, so no shipping cost.
If you want something that is not listed, please contact the vendor, Melon Ink, because they have been very helpful in setting this up and will accommodate us.  Also, they have said that if you own an item of clothing that you want our logo on, they will personalize it.
Thank you for getting your orders in promptly.  - Martha

We are offering Community Grants to organizations that affect the community of Buffalo Grove and its inhabitants. The Rotary Community Grant will provide funding for projects and causes that contribute to the success of the local community with the objective of making ours a better place to live and work. Our Club at the Village Board Meeting April 15
Here is an addendum to the photos I ran last week about the April 15th meeting of the Village Board.   Our club presented the Firefighter of the Year to Firefighter/Paramedic Scott Renshaw.  Renshaw was recognized during the meeting for assistance he provided in building a ramp for a disabled village resident, coordinating a major remodeling project at Fire Station 25, and spending numerous hours performing the skilled labor necessary to complete the work.  He is also involved in the Water Rescue Team, the Northwest Community Hospital Research and Development Committee, Paramedic Education, as well as the Driving Committee and Safety Committee.  Here he is pictured with Fire Chief Mike Baker and President Shawn.
We had a great turnout of our club for that special night when it was announced that the Rotary Village Green Park would now be known as Ernie Karge Rotary Village Green Park in honor of Ernie.  Here is Honorary Member Joan Karge.
Bowling with Buddies - April 18
A reminder that the Bowling With Buddies event that we support with the Village's Commission for Residents with Disabilities will be held on Thursday, April 18 - volunteers need to be at Bowlero at 5 pm to hear instructions about the event.  Please wear your Rotary apparel and/or pins.  This is a great event that has really grown from last year and we need your help!!
