Last week our speaker was Brad Swanson, the founder and co-director of SaLT Student Travel.  He has served students throughout Chicagoland as a teacher, coach and administrator for the past 20+ years. He takes pride in creating opportunities for all students to learn and grow through meaningful experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. Brad’s commitment to the life-changing power of service-learning fuels his daily work with SaLT.

SaLT (Serving and Learning Together) Student Travel combines meaningful educational programming, significant service activities and exciting local attractions of unique world-class locations. Students are engaged in rewarding experiences that directly benefit the local community, expand their personal knowledge, and challenge their current understanding of societal needs. Our exchange student, Fran, will be here in our community for 11 months and we asked her what she would like to do or see, because it seems that the exchange year goes very quickly.  Here is what she said
