April 23rd:  Buffalo Grove Rotary Open House  5-7pm @ Continental Restaurant
There will be no lunch meeting on April 23 because of our Open House that evening from 5 to 7 at Pete's Continental Restaurant.  President Bill has asked us to bring at least one potential member or corporate sponsor.
Our Club Members in Guatemala
The rain has not hampered our club members and their family members from doing amazing projects at Ak' Tenamit.  As reported by Dane:   We got the roof started for the building addition and the boys’ gym room painted. We also started on the weight rack for the gym. The students were fascinated with it all! Even though the weather has been crappy, we got to see some amazing waterfalls we haven’t seen before.

Melanie and Shannon Attend Presidents in Training Seminar
Our future presidents took time from their busy schedules to attend District 6440's PETS training this weekend.  We will be anxious to hear their thoughts about the training.

BG Rotarians at Park District Foundation Trivia Night
Thanks to our members who supported the BG Park District's Friends of the Parks Foundation Trivia Night fundraiser on Saturday.  It was a fun night competing and supporting the fee assistance program for active military families and for families in need.
BG Rotarians Read to Students at Kilmer School
Thanks to the many members of our club who read to kindergarten and first-grade students last Thursday.  The kids and staff sincerely appreciated our involvement.  Each child received a book from us that made them very happy.  Thanks to Lisa and the Outreach Committee for organizing this event.
