- During last week's meeting, Neil questioned us with facts about the month of June during Fun 'N Frolics.
- Past President Lisa presented Paul Zucker with the 2023 Bill Reid Award. Paul is an original member of Buffalo Grove Emergency Management Agency from 1987 through the present. His 37 years of volunteer service shows his deep commitment to the Village. His technical skill set and expertise have made him a sought-out expert and leader in the field of emergency communications. He has a long list of noted accomplishments and we are proud to honor him with this award.
- Also at the meeting, we inducted three Buffalo Grove Police Department corporate members - Chief of Police Brian Budds, Deputy Chief-Operations Mike Rodriguez and Deputy Chief-Administration Brian Spolar and we enjoy meeting the department's therapy dog, Grady.
- Our speaker was Shannon Legge, daughter of Stephen and Jeannette, who gave a very moving presentation about her volunteer experience with our club in Ak'Tenamit in Guatemala and as well as another Rotary service trip. She is a very enthusiastic and giving volunteer who really makes a difference in the lives of the students she has touched. Thank you Shannon for your dedication to Rotary's projects.
