The Rotary Clubs of Buffalo Grove, Arlington Heights and North Chicago worked with other volunteers to build raised beds and compost bins and fill the areas with mulch and soil for science teacher Nicole Welner at Neal Math and Science Academy in North Chicago to enhance her students' horticulture experiences. Great collaborative effort supported financially by the three clubs and a Rotary District 6440 grant. This is an example of Rotarians devoted to hands-on environmental projects to help our communities. Thanks so much to hard-working Jason (who went the extra mile to transport lumber in his truck), Rob, the master builder of the raised beds, honorary member Senator Adriane Johnson who took time out of her busy schedule to participate, and Jeff and Martha Weiss.
