ZOOM BINGO

To add a dash of fun to our zoom calls I have created 5 zoom call bingo cards.  Download one a play along when we have a zoom call meeting.  Usual bingo rules apply, mark off the squares if it happens on  the call. A new card for each new call, no carry overs. Winners will receive a prize of Paula's choosing.

July31

Due to the worldwide pandemic we were not able to do our traditional Bartlett Rotary 5000 raffle in which we sell raffle tickets, eat dinner, and spend the evening listening to Marcus call numbers and tell "dad jokes" while purchasing more raffle tickets.  To make this a low contact fundraising event to support the worthy causes supported by Bartlett Rotary and Bartlett Rotary Charities throughout the year, we bring you the Bartlett Rotary 5,000 Non Raffle.

Here is what you do NOT do this year:
  • Do not provide a raffle prize
  • Do not attend a dinner and raffle drawing for several hours
  • Do not twist arms to purchase raffle tickets
  • Do not provide a bottle of booze for the wheel barrow.
Here is what you DO:  All you do is donate $100.00 to  Bartlett Rotary for a chance to win a dues -free year of Rotary fellowship (free dues up to $800.00)
Winner will be selected at the regular Rotary Meeting on September 3, 2020.  Chances may be purchased throughout the months of July and August. More than one chance can be purchased, and we encourage you to do so!  5000 Non Rotary Forms will be emailed out to members.  The flyer can also be found on the sidebar of this page under downloads.

MEMORIAL TREE

The attendees discussed working with the Park District to plant a memorial tree at Bartlett Park in memory of Dr. Michael Camerer.  It was suggested to plant a larger tree for a larger donation.  Information about costs will be brought back to the Board for review and to make a recommendation.

Our  Random Rotary meeting this month via zoom as we have been doing. Random Rotary is July 16. The zoom call in information will be sent via email.

Alzheimer's Walk

We are excited to announce the Alzheimer’s Association as the Rotary Action Group’s newest strategic partner! We are grateful the Rotary Action Group has chosen to support the Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's, the world's largest fundraising event for Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias. We share a vision of a world without Alzheimer's and we are inviting all Rotarians to walk with us in solidarity in more than 600 communities across the country. Why We Walk: We are Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors that have extensive leadership experience around Alzheimer’s including Alzheimer's education, patient care, prevention management, research for a cure and strategic partnership. Last year more than 80 different Rotary teams walked and fundraised over $80,000, so for 2019 we are launching a special online Rotary Walk team page that all Rotary Walk teams across the country can use to register for your local Walks! To register: Visit www.alz.org/rotarianactiongroup, simply click "start a team" and please use the word "Rotary" and the town or district your club represents in the team name. If you have already registered for a local Walk event this season, please contact either me and I will work to affiliate your existing team under our Rotary umbrella.
