Rotarians and Friends,

The 2016-2017 Rotary year has flown by! It has been a remarkable year and we have accomplished many wonderful things. I have compiled a report that includes summaries from our major committees which represent Rotary’s five Avenues of Service: Community Service, Club Service, Youth Service, International Service and Vocational Service. This document helps capture all the good things we have accomplished and will help the 2017-2018 committee chairs as they continue our work in these areas.

It has truly been an honor to serve as your president for the past year. I have learned so much about this club, its wonderful members and the impactful ways we help shape communities locally and across the globe.

Remember, there is no breakfast meeting this week. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Installation Dinner on Thursday, June 29 at the Garlands. Please arrive by 6:15 p.m. as dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Faleminderit (thank you in Albanian),
Maria

Taiwanese Friendship Exchange

Mark Gibson - Taiwanese Friendship Exchange

TAIWANESE FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE JUNE 15-19

BBRC is engaged in the exciting opportunity of co-sponsoring the Friendship Exchange with the Rotary Club of Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates.  As such, we have shared in hosting responsibilities..

The Welcome Party is hosted by BBRC, and all District Rotarians including  Schaumburg Rotarians wishing to attend, had the opportunity to sign up on the District Web site and pay the $20 fee.  BBRC Rotarians do not pay as this is a regular meeting of BBRC.  However, BBRC guests pay $10.  An Evite was sent to BBRC Rotarians to track how many BRC Rotarians and guests plan to attend.

The Farewell Party is hosted  by the The Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates club  and likewise there was a District registration set  up to allow any District Rotarians including BBRC members to register and pay the $20. fee.

Both District registrations are now closed.

The June 15th BBRC meeting will begin at  6:00 Pm at the Lodge, Lake Barrington Shores. with music by Second Wind (Joyce Palmquist) beginning at 5:30 pm.  Plan to arrive to hear the music!

If you wish to bring a guest, please bring your $10 payment to the club meeting June 8thand give to Kris Young.

Attached is the itinerary for the five days our Taiwan guests are with us.

Action Items:
Should you be willing to drive, please contact Mark by June 8th.
Respond to the Evite to let us know how many BBRC Members will be attending June 15th
Guest payments, please give $10 payment to Kris Young at this Thursday's meeting.
