"I Wish I Had" Reminder

Is to purchase gifts for the neediest students at Sunny Hill Elementary School
 
Over the past several years during the Christmas Season, Breakfast Rotary has supported the I Wish Program at Sunny Hill. The purpose of the program is to purchase gifts for the neediest students. Funds for the I Wish Program come from volunteer contributions of Barrington Breakfast members. The counselors at Sunny Hill with the help of the staff, select student that are in need of basic necessities. These students receive wrapped “presents” from Sunny Hill and, indirectly, Barrington Breakfast Rotary.
 (Examples include: Boots, gloves, winter hat, coat, sweatshirt, snow suit and many other items. Also included are basic in school supplies. )
The benefits of this Program help in many ways:
  1. Students receive needed winter wear and, in some cases, needed school supplies. Self -image improves and, hopefully, grades. Parents are grateful and usually become more involved and supportive of the School.
     
  2. The image of Sunny Hill improves within the community. (The School fulfills the need of the surrounding area as a community and cultural center.) Anything we can do to cement this bond will be beneficial to both.
