Terry, Lew & Mary - All spoke to the club about our Around the World with Rotary Event being held on April 22, 2017 at the New LBS Lodge. 
 
Mark Gibson – Announced that our club has donated $1,000.00 to The Healing the Children Program
 
Jeff Degner – Our Guest spoke about his recent trip to Nicaragua on behalf of Healing the Children.  Jeff Read two letters written by children who had been helped by the organizations efforts
 
Louis Yee - Reminded us that on April 7th there is a Fatherhood initiative project being held at Saint Anne Church, Barrington from 11-1 PM.
 
Steve Olker - Sign up for your t-shirt for streetfest, if you have already ordered please remember to pay if you have not done so.
 
Steve Hollis - Reminded us that Kid Fest is coming up soon.  The event date is May 6th and Steve is the Kite assembly supervisor.
 
BHS Interact Club:  Meetings on the first Tuesday of every month. Contact Jim Quigley for further information.
 
The Rotary World Peace Conference is being held in Ann Arbor Michigan on March 31-April 1, 2017.  The conference moves around the country.  Last year it was held in San Francisco, so we are fortunate to have it so close to home this year.  John Germ our RI President will be attending the conference.  You can contact either Suzanne Gibson or Maria Coons for further details on how to attend.
 
 
BRAG BUCKS
 
MoniqueFor the Healing children program.  We have found 2 foster homes for El Salvador children arriving in early May.
 
Maria Coons & Narayan Murarka – For the people that participated in picking up the Blankets, Pillow Cases and other things from the Chicago O’Hare Rotary Club and delivering them the same day to Sunny Hill School.
 
Susanne Mark Gibson – About leaving for the Rotary World Conference being held in Ann Arbor Michigan.
 
Jeanne Hanson – Thanked those that helped distribute the Suicide Awareness Posters.
 
Rose Grace – Gave a shout out to Steve Hollis for Hollis Brother’s great work on her car.
Maria, Narayan & Monique’s proposal to Rotary District 6440 for project ideas they have put together and executed over the past few years, have been accepted as finalists.

Jim Otis filled balloons with fortune cookie saying (I think).  Anyway, way we all were to keep tapping them up in the air until they reach the floor.  Once they reach the floor we got popped them and read the message inside.  Jim was a teacher for many years so he did this with his students.
