
May 9, 2024. Our club has made big investments in global projects around the world this year. Using a combination of District Designated Funds and club generated funds, our club has invested over $17,000 this year to international projects. Shown on the map above, the projects we've supported include:
- 2 Water and Sanitation (WASH) projects in Cambodia
- 3 Projects in Guatemala: A WASH project in western Guatemala, a bathroom project at the Indri school, and the construction of a new girls' dining facility at Ak'Tenamit
- 2 Projects in Uganda: Construction of the Nyakijumba Primary School in Kabale Uganda, and a global grant in Namutumba Uganda focused on maternal and child health and community development
- A global grant to provide donated medical equipment to a hospital in Sierra Leone
- A global grant to purchase a mobile eye clinic in Indore India
- An "inbound" global grant to improve maternal and child health in underserved areas on the west and south sides of Chicago.
We've also pledged $ 2000 to Rotary Peacebuilding and Polio eradication.
