Community Grant Applications are Now Being Accepted
Once again, RCAH will be awarding grants of up to $1500 to local 501 (c)(3) organizations that are serving Arlington Heights and surrounding communities. Please share this information with your contacts in the community. The application and instructions are on the ClubRunner website. You can also download them here.
At last week's meeting, Betsy Kmiecik re-inducted former member Dave Jaffe. It's great to have him back with us.
Hammin' It Up- Update
Sue Duchek provided the first update on the Hammin' It Up challenge. The Super Glue Crew has an early lead, but Bacon the Difference and Rockin' Around the Wheel are right in on the action. This month there were two winning Random Acts of Kindness:
a kind Rotarian provided the money to buy text books to a needy college student.
another kind Rotarian provided a first class upgrade to a member of the military.
Rotary Santa Run Social Media Campaign
Our speakers at last week's media were Victoria Bush and Stephanie Walker from Paradox Media Group. Their presentation focused on how RCAH can enhance social media engagement in general, and specifically as we promote the Rotary Santa Run. This is something that everyone can help out with. There is no meeting this week or NEXT Week
In lieu of this week's meeting, we'll be having the Bernie's Book Bank service project. And next week, please plan to join us for our Octoberfest social event on Friday, October 1.
