Thanks to partnerships between the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights, the Glenview Sunrise Rotary Club and the Garden Club of Arlington Heights five District 25 schools received $250 grants to support pollinator habitat planting. The RCAH Environmental Committee worked with the Glenview Sunrise Club to receive one of this year’s District Collaborative Environmental Grants. Each club then worked with community partners to fulfill the grant. RCAH partnered with the Arlington Heights Garden Club to increase funding for one of the Garden Club’s existing environmental/gardening initiatives. The five schools which each received a $250 grant included Thomas Middle School and Greenbriar, Ivy Hill, Olive-Mary Stitt, and Westgate Elementary Schools.
