June 26, 2025. There was much to celebrate as RCAH members, spouses, and guests gathered at the Lutheran Home for this year’s Installation Dinner. Outgoing president Ron Gerlach kicked off the meeting with a recap of some of the past year’s notable accomplishments:
- Decreased quarterly dues by 20%
- Found a new Club meeting location in Lutheran Home
- Kicked off Polio Awareness month with Mike McGovern, Rotary International Foundation Chair, as guest speaker
- Increased focus on environmental projects – specifically the Mill Creek project, Lake Arlington Park clean-up, Pollinator Garden project with the Arlington Heights Park District, and the Neil Science Academy Greenhouse Project in North Chicago
- Increased collaboration with neighboring Clubs doing multiple service projects with the Buffalo Grove Club
- Had strong fundraising with a successful Golf Outing and beating our net income target for the Santa Run by $20,00
- Conducted a Club survey for the first time in 5 years. It will result in several improvements including a greater variety of speakers, more networking, increased social media presence and a new Fun and Frolic format.
- Increased net membership by 7 new members – the first net increase in several years.
