June 29, 2026.   The Arlington Heights Garden Club announced their 2026 Scholarship Award recipients at their Club meeting. The Arlington Heights Garden Club was pleased to award $8,000 in scholarships this year, allowing for more flexible funding for more students than prior years because of support from The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights, which contributed an additional $2,000 towards the scholarship program.  The scholarship committee received applications from 20 qualified applicants this year, and the Garden Club awarded six scholarships of $1,250 each and one $500 scholarship. Joshua Nesvacil and Julie Hamann were selected for two more specific Rotary Club x Garden Club scholarships, because of their particular commitment to studying environment, sustainability, and design from the perspective of not only nature, but also a vocation and a practice, strongly speaking to the mission, vision, and values of both organizations.
