April 23, 2026.  The AHML Makerplace kitchen sizzled with creativity and camaraderie as new RCAH members (and some tenured ones) gathered for a festive Quesadilla Cook-Off! Teams were formed and each was handed a unique recipe  (savory pulled pork, classic cheeseburger, Philly cheesesteak or a vegetarian friendly corn and poblano pepper blend) along with all the ingredients needed to bring their quesadillas to life. With no judging on the agenda, the focus was entirely on fun.  The kitchen buzzed with laughter, friendly banter, and irresistible aromas.  Once the cooking wrapped up, everyone had the chance to sample all four creations  topped off with churros and Mexican sweets.  There was even a balloon artist and face painter who was quite a hit with the young crowd.  The goal of the event, to foster fun and fellowship with new members was definitely a success!  To see more pictures of the event click here.
