Welcome to the Corpus Christi West Rotary Club!

Many people ask what Rotary is. Rotary's main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace and around the globe. Rotary's motto "Service Above Self" is an ideal all Rotarians strive to accomplish in their lives. Our club has specifically set goals to be of service to the community we live in, Corpus Christi, TX.

Club President Kimberly Harrington was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow at last weeks's District Conference. She, and other district club Presidents, were given this recognition for their outstanding leadership efforts during this Rotary Year. Congratulations, Kimberly!
Our signature club fundraiser - the Flag Program - is gearing back up for the year! The next delivery date is Memorial Day - May 27th, 2019. Please take flyers at this week's meeting to distribute to your local friends and colleagues. The cost is $100 per year for 5 Flag Delivery Days. We would love to continue growing this program to be able to grow our contributions to local programs and the Rotary Foundation.

We will be asking for volunteers to help sell subscriptions and deliver flag routes in the near future. If you have not already, please consider how you can best support this great fundraising opportunity for our club!
There are several upcoming District 5930 events coming up this spring! Our club would love to have multiple representatives at each event. These events are organized by the District leadership as a way to connect the clubs within our district, work together towards our common Rotary goals, and build community among our clubs.

  • Conduct required district business,
  • Recognize accomplishments of members, clubs, and the district
in order to inspire all
  • To become more involved,
  • To give them a vision of Rotary beyond the club level, and

Our club had the privilege of packaging over 800 backpack meal sacks for local school children. The Coastal Bend Food Bank distributes these meal sacks to local schools every Friday to ensure that no child goes hungry over the weekend! What a way to make a difference in our local community.
Sean Levings, with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, was inducted into our club last week! He is the first member to be inducted in the new year and we are very happy for the commitment he has made to the Rotary family. Be sure to say “Hi” and “congratulations” the next time you see him!
