WEEK 3 FOUNDATION MINUTE – LOOKING BACK – PLANNING AHEAD

As he started his 1920-21 DG term, Estes Snedecor, a lawyer from Portland, Oregon, wrote “Every Rotary club should be made a forum before which vital economic and social problems may be fairly and intelligently discussed. Club programs should stimulate thought, widen the horizon, and deepen conviction.”

Each new Rotary year gives clubs a renewed opportunity to methodically plan programming for the year ahead. With many clubs suspending in-person meetings, speakers can be sourced from anywhere, with videos from prior speeches used when speakers are not available. Providing diverse programming which addresses local issues, can introduce new initiatives for club support – generating the passion to raise the needed funds to make change happen.
