Guest Speaker Michael Pauken - Nov. 18, 2014
Posted by Al Anile
Michael Pauken, Director of the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, was the Guest Speaker at our November 18, 2014 weekly meeting.
Michael Pauken, a long time friend of the club, explained the inner workings of the theatre management, and the various strategies on how to keep the theatre financially sound and interesting to the Skokie Community. Michael said that educational and plain fun entertainment is an essential component to an established vibrant community such as Skokie. North Shore Center for the Performing Arts provides that and much more; the North Shore Center's "YOUTEATHRE" which provides programs to students from Pre-K thru 12th grade, is just one of the many examples.
It is worth mentioning that The Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie has been the venue for the past several years for "The Taste of Skokie", a Skokie Valley Rotary Club annual fund raiser done in partnership with the Skokie Chamber of Commerce. This would have not been possible without the help of Michel Pauken. Thanks Mike!
