Continuing the tradition started in 2013 a raffle for a 55 inch 'Smart TV' is part of our Shrimp Boil fund raising effort. All proceeds go to Polio Eradication.
Since 2013, theTV raffle contributed $43,750.00 . And with the 2/1 match from the Gates Foundation the total amount is $131,250. Our Brazosport Rotary has directly helped provide polio vaccine to thousands of children around the globe. We do make a difference protecting children against this dreadful disease.

Please make it a point to attend on March 7, 2023 to pick up a freshly printed meal and raffle tickets for this year's Shrimp Boil. It is important that members get these so they can start making sales as quickly as possible. The auto for raffle will be a 2023 Honda Accord EX.
The Brazosport Rotary will raffle a 2023 Honda EX (not this one) at its annual Shrimp Boil. Be sure to get your tickets and start selling March 7, 2023.
What was once a guideline is now a rule. As the Tuesday Rotary Club meetings are getting longer with less time for socializing and the program, announcements need to be submitted in writing.
Please give Jordon your announcement in writing prior to the start of Rotary.
- In writing means alphanumeric characters displayed on paper, parchment, clay tablets, etc.
- In writing does not mean you tell Jordon right before the meeting starts or as he begins to speak.
- Before means prior to or early/earlier than the start of the meeting.
Why?
As the Tuesday Rotary Club meetings are getting longer with less time for socializing and the program, announcements need to be submitted in writing. Time management is the main reason for this, but attention is also a consideration. "After the first two or three I just kind of zone out and refocus on eating, drinking, or where I am supposed to be later," said a member who wished to be anonymous. "So while someone is up there just blah blah blahing about whatever, I've pretty much mentally checked out."
