What was once a guideline is now a rule. As the Tuesday Rotary Club meetings are getting longer with less time for socializing and the program, announcements need to be submitted in writing. 
Please give Jordon your announcement in writing prior to the start of Rotary.
- In writing means alphanumeric characters displayed on paper, parchment, clay tablets, etc.
- In writing does not mean you tell Jordon right before the meeting starts or as he begins to speak.
- Before means prior to or early/earlier than the start of the meeting.
Why?
As the Tuesday Rotary Club meetings are getting longer with less time for socializing and the program, announcements need to be submitted in writing. Time management is the main reason for this, but attention is also a consideration. "After the first two or three I just kind of zone out and refocus on eating, drinking, or where I am supposed to be later," said a member who wished to be anonymous. "So while someone is up there just blah blah blahing about whatever, I've pretty much mentally checked out."
