Brazosport Rotary Honors BISD’s Best at Annual Recognition Banquet

Members of the Brazosport Rotary Club honored all the respective campus 'Teachers of the Year' during BISD’s Annual Recognition Banquet on April 30, 2025.

Like in years past, members of the Brazosport Rotary Club donated a dictionary to every third-grade student in the Brazosport Independent School District (BISD). This donation is but one of the local club’s commitments to teachers and students in southern Brazoria County.
In the middle of February it is easy to forget about the near record setting heat experienced during the summer of 2024, here southern Brazoria County. But that hot weather and the suffering it caused, was the reason the Brazosport Rotary Club donated $2,000.00 to ‘Actions Inc’ for the purchase of fans. With donations like these, that are funded by the club’s annual Shrimp Boil, the Brazosport Rotary Club has served residents here and around the world, for over 70 years.
The Brazosport Rotary Club presented Junior Achievement of Brazoria County (JA) with a donation of $2,500.00, contributing to JA’s mission to empower young people in today’s global economy. This donation is one of many the Brazosport Rotary Club makes and has made since its founding in Freeport, Texas in 1953.
