Lake Jackson, TX – April 30, 2025 – The Brazosport Rotary Club proudly recognized the 2024–2025 “Teachers of the Year” from each elementary, secondary, and specialty campus in the Brazosport Independent School District during the district’s Annual Recognition Banquet. The event, held at the Brazosport College Corporate Learning Center, celebrated the district’s most inspiring and dedicated educators for their outstanding contributions to student success.
Brazosport Rotary President Harold Nicoll joined BISD Superintendent Danny Massey on stage to present each honoree with a personalized certificate and an honorarium from the club. The funds are intended to help educators purchase classroom materials and instructional tools that might otherwise go unfunded.

“The Brazosport Rotary Club has long made education a cornerstone of its philanthropic efforts in southern Brazoria County,” said Nicoll. “An educated citizenry is essential to our collective civic, social, and commercial future. The individuals honored this evening represent the very best of an already excellent group of educators—selfless professionals who pour themselves into their work. They live Rotary’s motto, ‘Service Above Self,’ every single day.”
Rotarians, community members, school board trustees, and district leadership were all in attendance, applauding the achievements of those who go above and beyond in the classroom. The evening served not only as a recognition of personal excellence, but also as a reminder of the enduring impact that passionate educators have on their students, their schools, and their communities.
