Denese Jackson is a native Arkansan. She joined the Dow Chemical Company after graduating from the University of Arkansas (UofA) in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering (BSChE). She has an MBA and completed executive education at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Throughout her career at Dow, Denese worked in various roles of increasing responsibility. She completed assignments in several different Dow locations and functions, as well as other consulting roles, before her retirement. Denese served as a Dow engineer recruiter at the University of Arkansas for over 20 years.

Denese has served on several local boards in Brazoria County. She is the founder and president of The Better Life in Sight Foundation. She is a past president of the University of Arkansas Academy of Chemical Engineers and is currently on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the UofA College of Engineering. Denese was named Distinguished Alumni by the University of Arkansas College of Engineering in 2023. Denese is married to William Jr., and they have two young adult children, William III and Destiny.
