Birthday Parties for Children Residing in Shelters or Group Homes

The Birthday Joy Program’s mission is to encourage a sense of self-worth and a feeling of hope to children living in crisis through the joy of birthday celebrations.

Every month volunteers with The Birthday Joy Program host birthday parties for children residing in homeless shelters and group homes.  

These children are in crisis at the most vulnerable time of their lives, their childhood.   Many have never had a birthday party or even a birthday cake.     At these parties each child with a birthday for the month is celebrated with all the other children in shelter the party guests.
