Entrepreneur Tobe Brockner, founder of VSQRD Creative, spoke to us about his company, AKA, V2 Creative (V2 stands for trading "value for value") and the development of a program called "Passport to Boise", a program for school-age children which partners with businesses in the Treasure Valley to provide summer learning activities. In this program kids learn all about businesses, how they function, advertise, sell, and succeed. He also wrote a book called "Kid Capitalism" which goes into detail about the 12 things every kid should know about business.
Tobe doesn't go by the "golden rule" of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you", but rather what he calls the "platinum rule" instead, being "do unto others as they would want you to do unto them". Your "do unto you" may not be what they would want "done unto them"! We may not have thought of that. Hmmm.....
He says that he will always succeed, describing his motivation as if he were in a contest of running on a tread mill against you. He said one of two things would happen: either you will get off first, or he will die! Now how's that for motivation?
