Golden Hearted Rotarians answered phones for the KUAC fall fundraising drive!

28 Running Club Kids participated in the Jim Loftus Mile (10 & Older) or the Youth 800m (9 & under) on Thursday, July 14 @ the West Valley High School Track.  This was also a community event for racers Ages 5-77.

 

Location - Birch Hill Recreation Area (101 Wilderness Drive)

Dates:  June 7 - July 28 (Every Tuesday and Thursday)

Times:  5:30pm - 6:30pm

 

Space is limited to 60 children

Golden Heart Rotarian Valerie Therrien recently visited Ireland. She was fortunate to meet up with a local Rotary Club in Dublin where she exchanged club flags.

What a fun day for Golden Heart Rotary! We handed cups of water and Powerade to Equinox marathoners and half marathoners. And congratulations to our very own club president, Susan, for her STRONG finish in the half!

Golden Heart Rotarians were proud to present a check for $3,000 to the Arctic Resource Center for Suicide Prevention.

Golden Hearted Rotarians joined the Out of the Darkness Walk to Fight Suicide on Saturday, May 22nd. Suicide prevention is an important focus for our club. Proceeds from this year's GHR Golf Tournament will benefit the Arctic Resource Center for Suicide Prevention - arcsp.org.

Golden Heart Rotary is so excited about this project! We're helping the Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living put curtains in the center's living spaces. Once the curtains are purchased, we'll help hang them!

Come support our club's annual gift wrapping fundraiser at Sportmans Warehouse December 20-24. 

Proceeds benefit our "Adopt A Family" this Christmas.

Golden Heart Rotary Club members recently staffed the phone bank in support of KUAC's Fall Fundraiser. Another way our members volunteer their time to the Fairbanks community!  

 

 

 

Current and Potential Rotarians, along with family and friends celebrated the clubs 10th birthday at Venue on April 9, 2016.

Golden Heart Rotarians raised over $800 giftwrapping at Sportsmans Warehouse, December 19th - 24th.  The funds were used to purchase gifts and a tree for a single mom with 3 children.  The family was very grateful and loved everything that Jill Burnett and other club members were able to purchase or donate to them.
