 Past President of the Rotary Club of Miami and thirty-two plus year Rotarian

 

 

Currently serving as District Governor of Rotary District 6990 (Miami-Dade, Broward & Monroe counties in Southeastern Florida & Grand Bahama Island in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas) for the Rotary year 2012-2013.

 

Yesterday the Rotary Club of Freeport welcomed our District Govermor who spoke on the importance of Membership in general and membership retention in particular.

He also highlighted that we needed to contribute to the eradication of Polio worldwide. He gave a lecture on what polio was and how it was spread. He said that the USA was certified as polio free since 1974. He was unable to give the status for The  Bahamas. He tied in the eradication of Polio to International's President theme for the year.

He also stated that as a Club we should aim to be 100% Paul Harris. he stated that only 4 % of the Clubs wideworld wide were 100% Paul Harris.
