Volunteers prepared two evening meals for the Five Cities Homeless Coalition. Each meal serves 50 people. The volunteers prepared a Chicken Salad for one evening and Lasagna for the next. Five Cities Homeless Coalition had a chef and a helper, Michael and Devon, to oversee the meal preparation. There were a few other volunteers. The Rotary club was split into two groups. The first group cut and prepared the food from Noon to 12:30PM, then broke for lunch. The second group then finished the food preparation. We had sandwiches, potato chips and a drink. It all went well with no problems. Thank you to Joel for arranging this Community Service Project! It was again a great project
The volunteers were Greg & Pam Holsen, Becca, Sharon Olson, LaShawndra Scaccianoce (Grover Beach Rotary), Ed Harris, Sharon Ellis, Joel Conn, Anya Stanley and Shannon Bowdey. See our Facebook page for better pictures by Shannon.
Next Week's meeting will be a tour of the Chapman Estate in Pismo Beach. Don't miss this special opportunity.
