The meeting started with President-Elect Todd giving the moment of inspiration, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. After lunch Pres. Joel fined those he could. Pres. Joel then provided a short explanation of the current rebates from Central Coast Community Energy. He explained he got two house batteries and electric car charges for very little by taking advantage of the rebates from Central Coast Community Energy. Then Pres. Joel gave a short tour of the club’s website on Clubrunner. The club’s website, https://pismobeachrotary.org, lists upcoming events, including meetings, community service events, a list of officers and a meeting recap. Members can log on to the member area and send everyone an email at once, however no one can respond to you from an email send from the club website. Pres. Elect Todd showed the club where we can offer prospective members an application to the club either in paper or on-line. Then Pres. Joel showed us how to see almost the same thing on the club runner app.
Ashlea introduced the speaker, Amber Johnson. Amber is a political strategist. However, she spoke to us as “Shotgun Sally”. She found herself really enjoying shooting skeet. She went on to establish gun shooting training for women, thus “Shotgun Sally”. She went on to talk about Sgt. Cooper’s three levels of situational awareness. Jeff Cooper's Color Code is a system for understanding and improving situational awareness, with levels ranging from Condition White (unaware) to Condition Red (immediate action required), and Condition Orange (potential threat) and Condition Yellow (relaxed awareness). Amber holds seminars and teaches classes both on gun training and situational awareness. Her website is https://www.shotgunsallyhq.com.
The meeting closed with the 50/50 with no winner and Todd provided the moment of inspiration again.
