The last Saturday in April of each year is Rotarians at Work Day. The Rotary Club of Ardmore spent the day cleaning up the Sensory Garden, and the turnout was a huge success! Jane Williams' granddaughter showed up with 5 other Rotaractors from the Baldwin School, and the team had a blast. Please see the RIARD at upper left for photos of the event from our own Bill Kemmerer.
This just in from the District 7450 website: With the next Rotary year rapidly approaching, our Presidents-Elect and District Committee Chairs trained, it’s now time to spread the word to all of our members involved in Club Leadership. That event is our annual District Assembly! Click to read more and find a link to register.

Thank you to all the community organizations who applied for allocation grants for 2016. We have diligently reviewed all applications and have come to a decision, which will soon be approved by the Ardmore Rotary Foundation. Watch this space for a list of 2016 grant recipients.
On May 22, 2016, the Rotary Club of Ardmore will be organizing the third in a new tradition of 5k races around Suburban Square. The event raises much needed funds for veterans causes and international relief. We need more sponsors! Your business would benefit from an affluent and diverse audience of Main Line residents whose values range from patronizing independent Main Street businesses to funding worthwhile causes.

Sponsorships range from the $250 Bronze Level to the $5,000 Platinum Level. Numerous benefits range from a prominent logo on the 5k t-shirt, to free registrations for numerous participants, to being named on the Ardmore Rotary website and at the registration table.

The Club's Foundation is an IRS-recognized 501 (c) 3 charitable organization.
The Auction featured a silent auction of 93 items in the sunroom, preceding the dinner which was followed by a live auction in the Merion Cricket Club ballroom.
Highlight of the evening was the presentation of a check to the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore and the announcement of the Club’s 90th Anniversary Honoree.
Please join the Rotary Club of Ardmore in its new tradition of hosting a High School A Cappella Sing-off at the Haverford School on April 17th, 2016. For a modest donation at the door, the winning a cappella group will be able to raise funds for its favorite local non-profit. Past winners include The Haverford School and The Baldwin School, and past beneficiaries have included Musicopia, a local non-profit which provides music education in underfunded Philadelphia schools.
Please join us at the Merion Cricket Club on the evening of April 1, 2016 at 6:30 pm for some a cappella murder mystery theater! Cost is a $75 donation to the Rotary Club of Ardmore Foundation's many causes, including and especially fighting polio in countries such as Pakistan where it is still endemic. Our organizer is Past President Christian Hoyt. Please contact him with the number of guests you will be bringing, so that he can complete the final booking. From the event calendar, click on the event on the calendar, and then click on Chris' name to send him an email as a web form with your guest tally.

Thank you for helping us wipe polio off the planet!

Reports from Japan indicated that many thousands of people still remain displaced, many of whom were evacuated from areas around the Fukushima Dai-lchi nuclear plant, whose three reactors melted down following the impact of the tsunami.
